Using BenderWatch

BenderWatch shows crowd-sourced, real-time signals about bars in State College, PA. You must be 21 or older. Signals are other people's impressions, may be wrong, and are not a promise about entry, capacity, or safety. Drink responsibly; never use this app while driving.

User content (photos and reports)

You may only upload photos you took yourself, of public scenes inside or outside participating venues. Never upload: images of anyone who appears under 21; intimate or sexualized images of any person; images taken where people expect privacy (bathrooms, private rooms); harassing, violent, or illegal content. By uploading, you grant BenderWatch a license to display the photo for up to 2 hours and to retain a hash of removed images to prevent re-upload. We may remove any content and block any device at our discretion. Nonconsensual intimate imagery is removed within 48 hours of a valid report — see Report Content.

Reward program

$5 is paid after complete, phone-verified reports on 5 distinct calendar nights (9:00pm–2:30am ET; one qualifying report per venue per night). One payout per phone number and per device, ever. Payouts hold for 48 hours for fraud review. Fraud — fake reports, multiple accounts, automation — forfeits payouts and may block your device. Featured photo credits ($0.50) are capped at 2 per venue per night. The program can be modified or ended at any time; earned-but-unpaid rewards will still be paid. Rewards may be reported to tax authorities where required.

Accuracy disclaimer

Report what you actually see. Signals labeled "Typical" are historical estimates, not live data. BenderWatch provides no warranty of accuracy and is not liable for decisions made on it.

Venues and promotions

Promoted placements are clearly labeled. Promo analytics are correlations against a venue's own history, not proof of causation.

Termination & changes

We may suspend devices or accounts that violate these terms, and may update these terms; continued use is acceptance. Governing law: Pennsylvania.
